CG's with Golf Courses?

DW and I are avid golfers, not necessarilly good golfers, so one of the ways we are coping with high cost of diesel is to stay at campgrounds with golf courses. Anyone have suggestions as to where we can fined campgrounds with golf courses.

We will be at Holiday Lodge Golf Resort & RV Park in Tomah, WI from 7/2 to 7/7. www.holidaylodgegolf.com

We have also been at Brickyard Plantation Golf Club & RV Park in Americus, GA. www.brickyardgolfclub.com If you want to go here be forwarned they say that in Jan-Mar they are booked with snow birds. PA CG with advance reservation requirement to get discount even if it is only 2hrs in advance.
Golf course is about 1/2 mile away.

Another is Shady Brook Golf & RV Sumterville, FL. 1st tee is about 200 yds from sites.

It will be nice to be in Tomah and have to drive to a GC for 5 days. The 1st tee is only a short walk of 100 yds and we walk as much as possible.

Thanks for any others to add to our list.

Several Kentucky State Parks have golf courses, Grayson Lake is one. Gulf State Park in Alabama also has a golf course.

Red Shoes RV park and Casino in Kinder LA has an awesome golf course. The RV park is cheap and if you play at the casino you will receive some nights free.

If you come through Kentucky, Grayson Lake State Park has a golf course at the campground. As a matter of fact they lost a few campsites when they expanded the golf course.

Cedar Valley RV Park & Golf in Guthrie, Oklahoma. It has an eighteen hole par 3 course with the RV park surrounded by the course. Right next door is a full 18 hole golfcourse. We found them in the Passport America book, wish we had our clubs with us.

Hello

Although, we are not golfers, my wife & I stayed at Grand Lake Resort in Orange Lake, FL in late February, early March for about 3 1/2 weeks. There is a golf course as part of the park

Harrison Bay SP just NE of Chattanooga,TN has camping and a Bear Trace course. Hard Labor Creek and Richard Russell SPs in GA have excellent golf courses and campgrounds.

We're avid golfers, too and we did a golf trip out west a couple of years ago. The best deal of all we found just east of Lebanon, OR where the excellent campground had a "stay and play unlimited golf" package that was GREAT! We paid for one week, and ended up staying for 2. If you were going to play more than one round, they would let you take the golf cart back to your RV to have lunch, etc.

On the Harrison Bay post, I would like to mention that this course is a part of the Tennessee Golf Trail. The trail has 13 golf courses that meander all over the state and each one has a State Park either right there or very close. We took 78 days to travel the state and explore thise fine golf courses. 5 of the courses ar Jack Nicklas courses. There is a PassKey book you can purchase to give you great golf rates and the courses also offer senior rates. We just loved it. Diana

We found a great spot outside Spokane, WA on our way back from Alaska last fall - Spokane RV Resort & Golf Club. It is actually in Deer Park, Washington about 20 miles north of Spokane. All sites are paved, full (50 amp) hookups, w/ cable and WiFi at the site. It is a Good Sam Park and we paid $29.16 per night for a back-in site on hole #7. Had great neighbors that were there for the summer months and we got in on a tournament even though we were there for just 4 nights. They even rent you a golf cart for a reasonable fee, so we used it to get to the fabulous pool/hot tub/clubhouse/laundry as well as the golf course and rode around the housing community that the RV park is actually located in. They are trying to sell the sites, but as of last year, very few were sold, so they rent by the night/week or month. We would highly recommend this place. More info on their website www.spokanervresort.com We hope to get up that way in the future and would go back in a heartbeat! If you send us an email, we will gladly send you a photo of our campsite so you can get a feel of the place.

Thanks everybody for the info. We left Holiday Lodge and are now in Chicago at our DD's to pick up the twin 13 yo boys for a trip to Dayton, OH for a week. Friend back in Washburn told me about Eufalla(sp), AL in which the state park has a golf course. Will definitely use your invaluable info in planning future trips.
