Slide issue 2022 3791RD need help please

So I am getting a dish out of a cabinet and all of a sudden I hear a noise and the wife starts yelling. Turns out the slide in the den on the road side started to come in on its own. It came in about 10" and then quit. All the other slides work but that one will not come in or go out now.

I have no idea where to go beyond what I have done. None of the 12v fuses are showing the light like they do when one blows. No 120v circuit breakers have tripped. The only 12v fuse that is labeled for a slide is the kitchen slide.

I know that the wire should be purple/white and labeled #3 (I think) but I have no idea where it might be.

Any and all ideas are welcome! If nothing else I would like to get the slide out manually if possible before we get anymore rain, which thankfully is not forecast until Friday.

Chalkie, the relays/fuses for the slides are in the front basement. Just curious if your unit is Legacy or not. In Command will make a difference.

Ahh, good point! No it is not the Legacy.

I will check out the relays to see what I can see. I do have a meter so I can try to use that for some testing.

I am sure that it is not a hydraulic slide, thanks for the thought though.

I did not find any relays in the front basement in the battery compartment nor any where else. I did find a large bundle of wires that head down into somewhere and seem to head to the rear. I'll keep looking.

Chalkie - the relays are on the BCM board mounted to the back wall of the basement...see pic. Unscrew both knobs and take the cover off, then remove the clear plastic cover. Second pic shows the board and (my finger pointing to) some of the relays. In your owner documentation for the InCommand, find your wiring diagram that looks like the third pic and it tells you which relays control which systems. I had issues with interior lights and I pulled and swapped a couple of relays and it fixed my issue.

I appreciate the information and I got all excited and went and checked, only to be disappointed. Then I re-read your post. I do not have the InCommand system.

I will check in the morning. I know there are some things back there but I had it in my head that that was part of the leveling system. I will examine it much closer.

Chaulkie, I assumed it was hydraulic. You are talking about a Schwintek slide. You need to find the control box. Each Schwintek slide has one. Your best bet is to log onto Lippert App and review the video on how it works and troubleshooting. You can tell by the green and red lights which motor and what issue. There is a motor on each side. If they lose power they lock. If you determine which motor is not functioning, you remove one screw on the outside, lift that motor and push on that side while someone works the slide switch out. Idk encourage you to watch the videos on the app. We just did Lippert training in Mishawaka for these slides.

The 3791 will have 3 Schwintek slides and 2 hydraulic slides.

He said it wasn’t hydraulic but never specified which slide it was. So that leaves one of the three Schwintech slides. Each of those three slides have two motors and a control module.

This is the link to Lippert’s documentation on the slide out. As I mentioned earlier, you have two motors, two cables and the controller for each slide.

It is the road side hydraulic slide that moved.

If your talking about the Door Side rear slide (Living Room or Den area), the take a look at Ron's Post #12. That controller is on the ceiling in the compartment under the slide. Each motor is wired to the controller. If there's an error, the light will flash 1 or 2 times to indicate which motor, then a series of flashes. How many flashes indicate the error which you can determine on the label of the controller. It will be easier to work with if you take the controller off the ceiling. Only 2 screws holding it up.
Inside the window where the lights flash is a reset button. Pushing it 6 times and holding it down on the 7th will put it in override mode and allow you to bring in the slide in the event the Hall sensor fails or some other problem(s).

“Door side den slide” - my bad! You are correct - it is a Schwintek slide. His den is not the same as my den! It just took me a while before that sunk in. Doh!

Here is a pic of the Schwintek controller with a better view of the LEDs and the reset switch window. This may not be your exact controller - just using it to highlight RMcNeal’s explanation.

Thank you for the pic! I had thought that box back there had something to do with the leveling system. I think I need to get my son-in-law over to help, I am still semi-disabled thanks to COVID a year ago and I am not sure I could bend myself around enough to do this.

I'll post with the results when I get them.
