I have a brand new 294rl and on the 4th day of our first trip the refrigerator quit working on shore power, it still works great on LP, I have done some troubleshooting and all fuses and breakers are fine, opened the outside panel and checked the fuses in the control board and there fine, does anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate the help

On electric you are using a heating element attached to the refrigeration coil. It is inside the stack/flue, up a bit from the propane burner. Like any heating element they can and do go bad. You should be able to find the 110 leads powering it on the control board. Checking mine with an ohm meter I determined the element showed no resistance so I knew it was bad. Ordered a new element and was able to replace it without pulling the fridge by working through the vent opening.

First, welcome aboard! Glad to have you and appreciate your military service.

Since the 5er is new the simplest thing would be to take it back in for warranty repair. It's hard to know what the problem is without some hands-on diagnosing but if it is the heating element it might also require that the fridge be pulled to repair. Especially if the element failed in such a way so as to weld itself to the heat stack as I experienced (you can check that through the exterior vent by feeling if it can move or not). I've done it but would rather let a repair shop do it under warranty.

Hopefully it's a simpler issue. It is plugged in, isn't it? Just checking. Good luck!

Our done the exact thing. When on electricity it would blow the 5 amp glass fuse in the control module. I contacted the dealer and they said the heaters were the issues, even though mine ohm out ok. They sent them and still same issue. I bought a new control module as it would cost me more for diesel to go to the dealership. I got it on Amazon for $220. It was the control module, the little black box on the outside of the fridge located in the exterior panel. Very easy to replace. All is good now. Knock on wood.

By the way, Semper Fi brother.
