Do you know the trailer and how the hitch was set up?

That really sucks but it can happen. I was making a fairly tight, weird tilted angle turn yesterday and was watching my cab clearance. I was about 6-8" away from touching so I know that it's possible to make contact if you're not paying attention at that moment. I was still at about a 60-70 degree angle so my turning radius is more than adequate.

If a person's needs and/or preferences are for a Don't-Have-To-Think-About-It-Never-Have-To-Worry solution then get the auto slider.

For me, my turning needs, to date, haven't created that issue and my preference is for the light, quiet, smooth solution the Andersen, and likely the Pullrite Lite, provides. I realize that cab contact is a possibility so I have to pay attention in tighter turns

I've had mine to about 75-80 degrees in a "have to", mess up, moment. I still had room to spare from the back window. I had never had it that sharp except testing it (dirt), and would never do it intentionally? I was looking, closely, down the side of my trailer watching it come around and the tires didn't really want to roll, they wanted to twist sideways (asphalt). When testing after I got it in my lot next door it appeared somewhere in the 50-60 degree range the tires started pushing up mounds beside the tread from the sideways pull. Above that it just started digging up more and more dirt the sharper you turned. Not good on the tires.
