Will a Honda eu2000 fit into the 335RLBS?

Will a Honda EU2000 fit into the front compartment of the Mountaineer 335rlbs? I think I have decided on this generator for my new unit and was just wondering if I can store it in that front compartment that goes under the closet area. Thanks!

Yep, should be no problem. Honda gives dimensions of L 20.1 x W 11.4 x H 16.7 The compartment opening is 18". The only concern is it's weight, is about 50 lbs. and you will be reaching out, off balance. Don't hurt your back. And that's another 50 lbs. directly on the tongue. Still, sounds like a winner to me. I read that it's very quiet. Thats a good thing.

The EU2000 will handle everything except the A/C. It weighs 62 lbs, its quiet, and is very stingy on gasoline. WE have carried one for two years.

I have two of them in my front compartment. I would think you could fit them in yours also. I did raise the shelf that was in there so I could fit them under it.

We just got one this past Friday and used it this weekend, Im very impressed with it, nice little compact unit, now I want to get another so we can run the A/C with them. and on ours it does fit nicely in the front compartment.

One of them will run a 13,500 a/c and nothing else. The converter has to be shut off.

Can anyone tell me if it is a big deal to set up one of these generators if ordered from an online dealer vs buying one in my home town and paying $125 more for it? My home dealer said he adds oil and then has to "set the RPM's". What's that mean? Was he just giving me a line so I'd buy from him???

I have the EU2000 as well but carry it in the box of my truck and sit it outside when I use it. Those of you that put it in the front compartment..are you running it in there? If so what about the exhaust fumes? My Monty wasn't prepped for a generator so wasn't vented.

I think the dealer may be in error. Setting the RPM's is something that is done on some generators as this affects the 60 cycle AC (60 Hz). The EU2000 uses elctronic switching and filtering to create a modified 60 cycle sine wave (60 Hz). The engine RPM's would increase/decrease as the AC load on the generator increases or decreases. I'd be a little suspicious of this dealer if I were you.

I got a similar line from a local dealer. They said sometimes they require a little "tinkering" to get running. I find that a little hard to believe with the QC that Honda has.
I bought mine from Mayberry's (they are only 45 min away) ,they told me the same story and they wouldn't give the internet price over the counter since they do the set-up (oil, gas and run it). I said I would take one in a box and they were out of stock. They did have a floor one that was scratched and marked down a little so they gave me that one for the net deal.

I bought one from Mayberry a couple of years ago...all I did was add oil and gas and fired it up...runs like a Waltham watch..

Don't know your model, but we have a 3575 and the Honda wouldn't fit it front because of the landing interconnect. Probably could have taken out the storage shelf, but just put it in the basement since I will have to take it out to run it anyway and it is easier to lift out of the basement storage. Maybe you could borrow one to see if it fits. It is a great generator. I took a copy of Trailer Life to a Honda dealer to see if they would meet the discount price listed in an ad and they did, saving me a $145.00 over Camping World's Club price.

We bought our EU2000i via the internet two years ago. As stated in earlier posts, all that is needed is to add oil and gas, and it's ready to go!

I used to store mine in my truck when I had the travel trailer, but with our new 3255 I store it in the "garage", as it seems easier to get to than in the front storage area. When using it I take it out and chain it to a wheel. I am able to run air conditioning if everything else is off.

I have the same generator and it fits easily in the front compartment. I also take it out and chain it to something when I want to use it.

I bought it on-line from Alamia Inc., 2212 S. Wabash St., Denver, CO 80231. Telephone number (800) 861-0029. They were the cheapest I could find (and I did a lot of checking), and they had it in stock. I had it in less than a week, and there was no delivery charge.

Also, there was nothing for me to do, except put in gas and oil. It worked perfectly from the beginning.
