Hello all:
We are Barb and Ron Mead from Amsterdam, New York. After 36 years of dairy and crop farming we decided to slow down a bit and do some traveling. We attended a lot of RV shows across the northeast and became somewhat confused as to what type of unit to purchase. I had a 1999 F-250 4 X 4 with only 9,000 miles on it and every 5th wheel we liked the truck appeared to be to light. We found a great deal on a used Challenger by Damon, 32' double slide that was only pulled 300 miles, the plastic was still on the floors, so the price was right! The truck was too light, at least for my satisfaction, and traded for a 2002 F 350 Crew Cab Dually 4 X 4 with a 7.3 Power stroke. As it would be, we continued to go to shows and this summer we attended our local Montana Dealers (Alpin Haus) open house and 40th anniversary celebration.

You guessed it, we purchased a 3670RL Big Sky Montana and I know now that we have purchased a real top quality 5th wheel. While we have only been out on a few short trips, to date there are no problems.
The unit even pulls easier as there is less weight on the hitch.

I am still working but not on call 24/7 anymore, perhaps some day we will go cross country and link up to one of the Montana ralleys.

We enjoy the site and just started to read some of the posts.

Thank you and hope to meet some of you in our travels, Barb and Ron.

Welcome to the MOC Barb and Ron. Don't wait for the next rally. We are having one next month. It will be a good one because we are scheduled to go on a tour at the Montana factory in Goshen. Go to all forums and scroll down to rally information. So plan on coming.

Great to have you here.

Hi Barb and Ron. Glad to hear you've got someone else to take care of the dairy herd. That's a never ending chore. It does sound like you've got a great rig. You should have lots of great times. Welcome aboard.
