Do a search on heated water hoses - kind of expensive, but nice. Kerry

If it does not get really cold where you will be maybe the tube type pipe wrap you get at the local hardware store will work.
If you are in really cold freezing weather I know I would use FrostTex heat tape. I have used this in the construction industry for buried water lines and it is self regulating. The colder it gets the warmer it it get. I would cover the frosttex with the above pipe wrap.
Hopefully you won't be in cold that will cause other freezing problems in the RV itself. Like sewer hose, etc.

Pipe heat tape + pipe insulation should work well.

I did what BB_TX did. Your only decision is which end (hydrant) or (rig) to place the 110vac plug. I did hydrant because they also had a heat strip on the hydrant and power to it.

Here is another manufactured heated hose, not quite as expensive as the other one linked above.

I ordered one of these a couple of days ago, has not arrived yet.

I use a regular heat tape on my hose when we are at our lot in Lakewood, NM during freezing weather. Works fine.

The Conrad Hose says "potable water hose",don't know if that's an issue for you or not. Kerry

We used heat tape on our hose with insulation for 2 winters living full time in Alaska. No problems - even at 40 below 0.

We had to use heat tapes last year as we were living in our Montana in NW Montana. We also had to do the hydrant.
We were told we had to buy a hard black plastic RV hose...which we did. We had 15 days of 20 to 25 below zero at night last winter. We never froze up but are glad we got the black hose. We were told if we didn't they regular RV hose would melt. A couple of other rigs in the park did not get that hose and they indeed melted their hoses and of course had massive leaks then freezing.
It was considerably cheaper than buying one of the ready made heated hoses. It was a bit of work, but did work really well.

I also use the pirit heated hose and really like it. I don't have to mess with heat tape, tape, insulation, etc. Though that works just fine. The pirit hose is tested to -42 and mine is laying right on the ground. No insulaation and the water is fine. ooops I just noticed the date of this post. Guess I missed the boat.

Don't worry noggs. As a new member, if you see a topic where you can contribute info, adding it like you did "wakes" the topic back up. Since you added "pirit heated hose" as a new post, I was not familiar with that specific product and now I can go check it out.
It's not unusual for new members to post into older Topics. If the administrators of the forum close the topic then you won't be able to post to it. I think that's the way it works.
