I-75 Closure in Detroit

Just a heads up for anyone traveling on I-75 North of Detroit. There is a section closed. More detailed information is posted under the Great Lakes Rally for all those traveling that route for the upcoming rally.

Dennis, we usually travel up 23 to avoid Detroit. Is that overpass in Detroit or at least south of Flint where I75 and I23 come together?

You'll completely miss it. It's Exit #60 on I-75, so you will long past it.

Most north bound traffic coming up I-75 normally switches over to US-23 at Toledo until Flint (I-75 mm ~112). Big mess where that fire was. There will be a detour there for a long time while they rebuild that overpass and re-pave I-75.

Took out the bridge on 9 Mile Road, those familiar with Greater Detroit Metro area will recognize that 9 Mile is also a main artery. Gonna be a LOT of detours. Would imagine that due to the size of this closure, there will be some of those orange Detour signs up real quick.
