We are OK

Julia and I are OK here in Lake County after the tornado. We still have our Villa in Harbor Hills in Lady Lake and it was spared but 6 new homes several blocks away got hit. Our new home is has a Leesburg address but we are on Lake Myrtle in Fruitland Park so we are about 6 miles from the destruction. At the moment we are having thunder storms to add insult to injury. What you see on tv in no way shows the destruction in the area. John Furlow just called a few minutes ago to check on us. It is hard to get calls thru with the rescue activity and downed cell towers. You can reach me on the internet at ziggyscooter&comcast.net. Travel safe and hope to see some of you soon. Rob

Good to hear you are okay. Sounds like it all just barely missed you. It must have been really scary. I've been through a few tornadoes in Kansas that just missed us and I remember the fear. I hope everything continues to be good for you. And don't stay away so long.
Happy trails.........................

Rob, so happy to hear from you and that you're all safe and sound.

Thanks so much for checking in here and letting us know.

The photos and video on CNN shows so much devastation I can only imagine how it is in person side.

Again so, so happy to read from you. You're in our prayers.

Great news! We also thought of you immediately.

I posted an inquiry in the General Discussion section and it was "administratively" moved to this Section. I didn't know that until later on. I hadn't looked here at all. That explains why I asked the question re your situation after you had already posted it...

How did the Recreation Plantation fare??

Best,
