Urgent help needed

We have a galley tank which is apparently separate from the black or grey tanks. We can't for the life of us figure out how to empty it. We feel like dummies but we have looked all over for anything that might look like a release and can't find it. This is urgent, because it is full and overflowing the sink.

They hid it!
Look between the tires in the frame for the T-handle.
Good luck.

If the handle is not there look for a small in the frame in same place.

Our handle (2004) can be found inside the sewer hose storage compartment. There's a small door on the side away from the entrance door. Open the door and you'll see the handle inside. Hope this all helps to solve your mystery.

Thank you all so much. We found it between the tires. My goodness, I never ever would have found it. They really did hide it, I think the owners manual needs more information and pictures. Thank goodness for MOC and all of you, and my husband who suggested I post the question.

Nancy,
I think hubby knew all along where it was, he just didn't want to do the dishes anymore!
Glad you found it.

And smile when you pull the release--there are dozens of us who found ourselves in the same predicament!

Which brings a good point. Did we, as owners, not either ask the right questions or have the right knowledge/experience to understand what was being demonstrated during the PDI walkthrough?

My dealer was thorough to the point that I was bored. Their assumption is that their customers are first time RV owners (and rightly so) so I was showed how to hook up the sewer hose, extend the awning, etc., things an experienced RV owner would already know.

To be honest, I only really listened when there was a new toy being demonstrated so I may have overlooked a feature or two. Now I'm tempted to open up the 3" thick book binder that came with the Montana and see what features are really there. I'm certainly going to look to see if the dump handles are identified and if not there will be a note to Keystone.

We were shown this during the PDI but forgot and if it hadn't been for the forum we would have been in trouble. The owner's manual is like a lot of the car manuals. They cover many models so it is hard to put everything in there. The handle is not in the same place in every Montana. Maybe this topic needs to be added to the PDI check list. I took a video of some of the stuff but not this.
Happy trails......................

Another good reason for a good owner's manual.

"The owner's manual is like a lot of the car manuals."

I've had a lot of new cars since the first I purchased in the early 1950s, but I must say I have never had a users manual for an automobile that was of as little value as the "manual" that came with our new Montana. Not even close!

I believe your other post shows that you found it.

On my 344RET, the galley tank handle is directly above the drain where the hose connects, which is actually in front of the road side wheels.

Steve and Brenda, I've been on this forum since a few days after its inception over four years ago. I think location of the galley tank dump handle is the most asked question. I somehow think many dealers don't even know it exists. And numerous people have posted here asking this question when they found they had a full tank they didn't even know they had. I agree with those who say this information should be in the owners manual. In the same predicament as Nancy and John and the others, that's where I'd go to look for the solution.
