Wife's Retirement

Well gang, we are almost ready for the full-time world. Today was my wife's last day at work for the U.S. Government. I have a three or four to go, depending upon who makes me mad first. I can say that I have gotten something I always I want........a woman with a pension. Life is great and so is my wife, my best friend, my life partner, my constant helper, and the love of my life.

So glad to hear it. Dianna retired from NASA about 1-1/2 years ago and hasn't missed it a bit. She went back for about two weeks after she retired on contract because they were in a bind. That settled any hesitation she may have had. Happy RVing.....

Native Tex,
It is wonderful that you are so much in love at this time in your life. It just makes retirement that much sweeter. It's hard to imagine, but time on the road even draws you closer.
I'm happy for you two. It's a great feeling to embark on a new adventure.
Take care, and keep in touch with us. Hope to meet with you guys on the road, slip on down to South Padre this Winter and we will have some fish taco's at Dirty Al's!

Congrats to you both. We retired last November, bought a condo on a lake in Texas, a boat and were all set to enjoy the good life. Well some Canadian friends talked us into trying rving, bought the rv, hit the road, and have been on the road for about 8 months since retiring. I hope we still have a condo and a boat. DW loves rving and would like to go fulltime. I also enjoy it, but like the condo and the boat. So, we plan on rving 8 to 9 mos a year. What is great for you, is that now that you are retired you can go when you want, stop when you findthat special place for awhile, and then figure out the next great adventure. Welcome to our world, it is the absolute best, which is what you both deserve. Hope to cross paths somewhere. Keep tat flame in your hearts growing, we have been married 42 years, and it gets better every single day.....
