FINALLY...time to pick up the new Monty!

After several delays and waiting semi patiently...it's time to leave on a little road trip to Oklahoma to pick up our new High Country 333DB!
Going back on a "quick" trip with a buddy to help with driving etc.
Wife staying home with the kids this time (she still needs to learn to drive the truck as well as how to tow).
Plan on leaving Monday 3/14 and spending Tues. night and all day Wed. and Wed. night going over everything. Probably taking I-40 east to OK. City and then south to the dealer.
Stay tuned for pics, comments and questions...

Be sure to have some sweet tea when you get to Oklahoma, and have a safe trip.

Thanks for the good wishes all!
Looks like the weather will cooperate for us...too bad fuel prices are so high! Should be right around 3k miles round trip so I'm interested to see what kind of mileage I get.
Looking at AAA website to plan my overnight stops. Definitely just leaving it hitched for the quick overnight stops. Probably won't even put out the rear bunkhouse slides.
Put the hitch in the truck today, will load up the MorRyde and capture plate for installation at the dealer.
Should be a fun road trip!

We are in New Mexico on I40 as I type this heading toward Santa Rosa. It's going to be a looong day...about 800 miles or so to our destination in OK. Great weather so far, averaging around 19 mpg at 75 mph! My truck is only turning 1,900 rpm at this speed (3.73 gears and 34.5" tires) so I am in a good spot for mileage. Occasional slight tailwind hasn't hurt either!
Seeing LOTS of Montanas on the road too...taking that as a good sign.
Got the PDI lists ready and looking for the arrival and departure checklists but haven't found them yet.
Anyone know where to find them (searching...)
Pix to come soon, plan to be spending the night and all day tomorrow going over everything. Probably buying some accessories too!

Well, the PDI went very well. The trailer is awesome!
They did a great job getting the trailer ready and I found virtually no issues at all. Got the new tires installed (BFG Commercials) the 2nd A/C installed (painted matching black too) and love the fireplace. Also got the MorRyde pinbox installed.
Leaving tomorrow am for home...taking 3 days south from Dallas area to I10 into L.A. by Saturday.
Looking forward to towing this thing. Looks really good with the charcoal grey Dodge!
