Here is the rub. The tire inflation guide on the door panel does not take into account what tires you are using, or if you are towing or not. The inflation pressures on the tires are at MAX weight, so how much lower do you go if you are not at max weight on each tire? So I have Yokohama Geolander A/T LT 235/80 R17 on my 2016 RAM 3500 dually. So I went to Yokohama's tire pressure site, and e-mailed them and gave them my numbers. My truck is 9,200 lbs. with full fuel. On scales with the 5th wheel my front two tires weigh in at 5,600 lbs. and my rear 4 tires weigh in at 7,250. so my rear 4 tires are probably around 3,600 lbs. when not towing. So I asked them to give me some numbers based on the info I gave them. I know my numbers are not exact, because I never weighed my truck empty on the front and rear axles? Anyway, I will let you know what they tell me in the next few days.
