Reese 30144 sliding hitch question

Hi All,

I bought a slightly used 30144 Reese 18K sliding hitch. I thought it was working as intended, but found out today that it isn't locking when you slide it to maneuvering mode. After looking it over real close I could see that the 2 bolts that are used as stops against the slider feet are keeping it from going far enough for the lock mechanism to engage. Looking at all the data I can find, it looks like I might have the wrong bolts. If anyone has one of these hitches, do you know if they are 3/8 bolts?

Thanx - Dean
