$1623.27

Well, I went out to fire up my truck this morning. What an awful sound. Drove great last night. If it had been a gas engine I would have sworn that only 1/2 the cylinders were firing. Took it into the dealer and he said that the injector module had been shorted out. Well, I get my truck out of hock tomorrow for $1623.27....what a pain. Looks like I will put on the rear window screen until next year.

Mike,
I had the fuel injector module go out on me at my brothers place on my 2005 F350. It cost me $1800 and change. How did you like that $200-$250 cost to flash the chip. Bandits.

Be still, my beating heart. Gasp! Your post made me want to go out and whisper to our F-350 that we love her and wish her many, many happy, trouble-free miles on the road. I also put her in the garage. Shame on us, leaving her out to suffer the wind and rain. That won't happen again--we need to keep her happy.

There was one bright spot. When I went in to pick up my truck, I asked why the job went form the $1559 he quoted me on the phone. He told me he quoted $1659. I politely told him that was not the case and recounted the phone conversation....to make a long story short I went out the door at $1543.18. (I guess that memory I developed when I was working for the IRS paid off.)
