Bentsen Palm Village Full

Well, darn. I called BPV day before yesterday and they are full for January and February. We're 3rd on the waiting list, but in the meantime, anyone have another park they would recommend? Thanks.

Bob n Pam, there are many parks in the area of Bentsen Palms. I wouldn't think you'd need to make reservations unless you feel more comfortable. A couple of others are Seven Oakes, Mission Bell, Trade Winds, Victoria Palms(a fair distance away), Split Rail and a host of others!!

From what I saw last year, I wouldn't be too concerned about making a reservation. There seemed to be plenty of vacancies. With the new Flying J open you could use it for a place at night while you are looking. But, I don't think you will have to. There is also a park around the corner from us called J Five on Taylor Road. I have a McAllen telephone book and can copy pages and email them to you if you want.

Thanks for the encouragement to just show up. That's really how we like to travel, but sometimes you really need a reservation. I think we'll just show up!

Bill and Ann, we sailed for years on the San Francisco Bay and environs before we took up RVing. Our last boat was a Pearson Coaster and Bob was a purchasing agent for a marine distributor (where we got all our toys for the boat!). It will be fun to visit with you this winter.

Bob n Pam: Looking forward to it. We will be in the Valley early Nov. until April. We will have to get together.
