I'm wondering if anybody else has volunteered to pull FEMA trailers. I called the place that was listed on MOC in Sept. from Auburn Hills, MI. She said she'd call back. Never did. Filled out two on-line apps. Explained I had class "A" CDL with all endorsements, current DOT physical, and my truck would pass DOT inspection with fire extinguisher and triangles. Also sent the picture on this site. No answer from one, "Your app. isn't needed at this time" on-line from the other. Last week Jeanne and I drove to Bristol and Wakarusa, IN just to eyeball the ones that didn't want us. My impression is that my age (74) might have been the determing factor; but after a certain age, there is no recourse if that's their excuse.

We recently drove to Gulf Shores, AL and back. I-65 has FEMA trailers and houses constantly travelling south. We counted 50 trailers in an hour, and almost as many houses. (Was passed by a house, as we were driving along at near 70 mph! That is the only thing that ever made the Monty sway!.) Acording friends who live in Alabama, the state parks are full of FEMA trailers, but few of them are actually occupied.
