Where to overnight on I70 in Colorado

Traveling from Utah to Minnesota to visit the kids later this summer. The Colorado DOT website states that overnight parking at their rest stops is prohibited. A 9-hour travel day would get us to about Edwards, CO. I don't see any truck stops or Walmarts near Edwards. Would appreciate thoughts on where to catch some sleep for 7-8 hours.

Don, there is a Walmart in Edwards that allows overnight. This is per All-Stays, a great, inexpensive App to find anything RV related. I sent you an email via the forum (check on the header) with some other options. If you go to Minnesota via I25, we can help you that way as we are in Northern Colorado.

What's up with nine hour travel days? I understand some only have a certain amount of time that they can devote to travel...but I always figured that shorter travel days made for a more enjoyable trip. Don't do the miles unless you got the time...or fly there if you feel so strong about needing to do the trip. Probably will draw a lot of negative from this train of thought, but heck...this is the moc not rvnet. John
