Replacement Fasteners for Refrigerator Vents?
Has anyone found a good replacement for the fasteners that hold the refrigerator vents in place? The stock fasteners are plastic, break easily, are ridiculously overpriced, and not all that reliable. There has got to be a better hardware replacement to hold the vents in place. The OE fasteners are available on Amazon for $10.42. I realize that this is for a 2-pack, but they are 2 different sizes and I assume that one of them will it your vent and the other will be useless.
You can find the OE item on Amazon as "RV Designer E377, Refrigerator / Converter Vent Latch".
If you McGyvered a replacement please provide details and pics.

Two small black screws. One in each corner. You shouldn't have to get in there often enough that it's inconvenient.

Did I mention that these latches are also not all that secure?

3 RVs in 15 years with current one at 10 years old, never broke/lost on yet. Just saying. But if it happens $10 will not kill be.

Counting on the original delivery miles to California, our rig has about 70,000 miles on it, and still have the original fasteners holding both vents in place, so not sure why there are problems with the fasteners breaking. I would just buy new ones and maybe they will last much longer than the originals.
