Replacing Old TV - How to secure new one?

I have a 2005 Keystone 3295RK - I have removed the OLD TV from the cabinet. Looks like a 32" might be the only size that will fit back in there. Any ideas on the best way to secure the new flat screen TV in the cabinet?

I'd recommend something like this:

This is probably overfill for the TV size your getting, but it would allow you plenty of spots on the back wall to attach to, since you'll be rolling down the road. You want it to be anchored solidly...

Our living room TV is held in place for travel with nylon safety straps and plastic buckles. For whatever reason - the bedroom TV did not have any straps and I did not trust that arrangement for travel. I had some old black nylon belts and I cut one and screwed it to the inside of the TV cabinet, and click the buckles closed and tight before travel. Here are the nylon belts on Amazon and you can make your own safety strap.

Both of our TVs have mounts similar to the link provided by CADman KS above. These have holes to fit numerous manufacturers TVs. You may need to get a newer mount if the screw holes don't match up to the new TV.

The new TVs are so thin you can mount them outside the cabinet opening if you want a larger TV. Here are some pics of what I did. I did get a little carried away building a cabinet insert to hold CDs and DVDs. But a simple piece of plywood would work also. I bought the mount on Wayfair. I bought some double sided velcro strap at Home Depot that I attached inside top and bottom edges to hold the TV in place during travel.
Don't know that it is needed, but I attached a small shelf under the TV with felt pads to support and cushion the TV.

I made a door to cover the old cabinet. Then installed th on a mount. Installed 2 "L" brackets and velcro. Secure th with velcro while in transit.

I added a nice piece of wood. Put it on with hinges and mounted the tv to it. Put a latch on the edge to secure the wood. That way you have storage behind it.

We did this several years ago on an Outback. We used commercial grade Velcro on the base. Not fancy, but the TV stayed there every time.

We have a 2002 model 3280RL and ran into the same issues your having. We replaced the Living room with a 35” Insigna Fire TV flat screen mounted on Harbor Freight full motion mount $39. Its rated for up to an 80” TV so its overkill for the TV size and weight, but should have no problems traveling down the road. The Harbor Freight mount is way cheaper than the ones sold for a camper! I mounted it to a piece of 3/4” plywood that was glued and screwed across the old TV opening. So I can still get into the opening for storage, DVD player, etc.

In the bedroom we used a 24” Insigna fire TV flat screen mounted on a swivel arm mount a friend gave us from their campers understory they weren’t using. Its bolted to a 7” wide piece of 3/4 plywood that runs from the bottom of the opening to the roof. It’s glued and screwed against the side of the opening.

I tightened up the mounts so you have to work a little to swivel them around, but the didn't move during our last weekend trip that was about 200 miles round trip. If you would like more detailed pictures, let me know and I could get them to help you out. Good luck upgrading!
