Soft Start 30a for ACP

Has anyone successfully used the $170 West Orgin 364 Soft Start for their 2nd AC when on 30a service, vice the $380 SoftstartRV SSRV3T by NetworkRV (or similar)?

I installed the SoftStartRV on our forward air conditioner. Tested it running via a 2000w inverter. Works fine.

I've read where someone installed the SoftStartRV on their forward AC. When using 30A they start the rear AC first. Once it is up and running then start the SoftStartRV AC. NOTHING else running.
He said it works. However if the rear AC cycles it will trip the breaker.

I wish I had known about this before I bought another one. These things aren’t worth nearly what others cost.
