305 RL tow vehicle/hitch

What do you tow your 305 HC with and what hitch?
What mileage do you get?
This gets to be more important by the day now!!! I think you know what I’m talking about!!

Just curious, I tow with a 2020 SRW Ram 3500 diesel HO CC with a 6’4” bed using an AUH .
My mileage is around 10.5 to 11 mpg.in flat country!!
Driving while not towing I get 21 to 23 mpg .

2017 Chevrolet Duramax Allison Diesel, 34' fifth wheel. Mileage from 9-13. The overwhelming factor in mileage is wind. Following wind I can get 13 or even more; head or side wind mileage can easily drop to 9. What I hope for is 10.5 to 11 and consider that my "normal" mpg.

What does your truck get when not towing?
I know that fuel prices will continue to rise!
This will put the squeeze on most RV’ers!!
Thank goodness for state parks that are close to most folks!

Yea I get 13+ with a 30 mph tailwind but turn around & I might get 8. Some only check their mpg when it's good.

I towed my 305RL with a 2002 Ford F250 short bed and had both a Reese manual slider hitch and a PullRite SuperGlide 16K 5th wheel hitch. Mileage was 12 mph towing.

2014 RAM 2500 4WD 6.7 Cummins towing a 12,000# 34' Montana 3295RK

Get 11-13 towing (I don't drive over 60 no matter the speed limit just for fuel savings) and average 19 when not towing. If I can keep the truck on the road for 400+ miles when not towing it will do 23, but that has only happened once. If I'm on the road that long, I am usually towing.
