Battery disconnect
I just noticed today that my landing gear, stabilizers, awning, and slide outs operate when the battery disconnect is turned off. Every thing inside the coach is disabled. Is this the way it is supposed to be?

Typically anything that is operated by the remote control board (assuming you have a remote) is independent of the disconnect switch. Even on the non-remote controlled rigs, the slide, landing gear and stabilizers are independent. With the remote control units, the energized remote board in the rig, will drain a battery if the rig is left unattended for extended periods of time. I did not think the awning worked on non-remote rigs, but these days, the variety of electrical setups does not surprise me! Many have installed isolation or cutoff switches at the battery to eliminate this battery drain.

That is the way Keystone Montana has done it. I put a master cut off switch at the batteries and I have also installed 300 amp fuses at the positive lead. This is protection if a short surfaces.
Good luck and safe travels.

It's that very thing that caused my first panic post to this forum. Couldn't figure out why some things worked and most didn't. Someone was nice and ask if I had the disconnect on and I was fine, although somewhat embarrassed.

Sounds great then. I think I just always turned off the disconnect and walked away. This morning I replaced the battery in the remote and noticed it still worked everything that was tied to the remote.

Correct answer is "Yes this is correct".
