Water in toilet leaks...
After I flush the toilet, water drains in the toilet bowl. This water drains down to the black tank. I made sure there was no TP caught in the seals. Any ideas on how to fix this? Is this something I need to worry about?
Thanks for your input.
Dick

In ours you have to let the foot lever snap back up, then it seals. If you let the foot lever up gently the water leaks out of the bowel in a hour or so. It's been that way since new. now 2 1/2 years old and still works. If that doesn't work you may need a seal kit. or try some Vaseline on the seal

Hi Dick.
I had the same problem in my monte. I called Sealand and they sent me the new parts .[ no charge ] They did not even ask me what year my unit was. Here is their phone number.---1-800-321-9886.
Good luck---Bill

Thanks John and Bill...
I ended up sticking a toilet bowl brush down the hole and now it no longer leaks.
Thanks for your input.

You may still want to give them a call as there was a recall on Sea-Land toilets and a kit with a stronger spring is what will be provided. Dealers have the kit also.
My built in May 2007 3400RL is in the shop for a new awning and several other items. One was the toilet. They put the replacement kit in and it has held water for two days now.

But I believe my toilet is a Dometic not a Sea-Land. Do I still want to give them a call? Is Sea-Land and Dometic related?

Here is the e-mail address I used to get replacement parts for our toilet. They have a new type of seal for the replacement, (new update) and spring. sealand@dometicusa.com

SeaLand is made by Dometic. If you call them, they will send you the kit you need (free) that will solve your problem.

Dometic has their finger prints all over the Montana - and other RV's. I should have bought stock in them 40 years ago if they were around. :-)
