Adjusting the fridge temp
I know somewhere I read about moving the sensor on the refriderator fin up or down to adjust the temp. Which way is colder up or down?

The easiest way to remember is that the thermistor reports the temperature at its level. Since warm air rises and cold air drops, when you move it up you are moving it into warmer air. That will trip its trigger sooner, giving you a colder refrigerator. When we had the refrigerator with that slider I used an indelible pen to note up for colder.

Not sure if it was a result of the Dometic Recall, but our 07 fridge is the Dometic Americana with the temperature adjustment in the control panel (1-5). I actually think it's a downgrade from the previous Dometic in our 03 that was fully automatic.

Brad, it's a different model. Same with our '07 having the fridge you have.

Brad our '07 has the same fridge. You can use the buttons outside to give a rough setting and then use the sliding thermistor inside to "fine"tune the cold it you want. I tried it, and it actually did make a difference!
