Texas Wildflowers

For those who may be traveling through Texas; for those who may be returning home from the Valley; for those who may be visiting Texas....

It is "Springtime in Texas": the dogwoods, wisteria, azaleas are already in bloom. Soon the Indian Paintbrush and the Bluebonnet blooms will be in profusion.

Here are some web sites that will help to find your way through the abundance:

Last year was not a good year for the wildflowers around Fredericksburg, but things were much better around Brenham, Texas (nearer Houston). Every year is different, but it's worth doing a bit of driving to find the best.

The bluebonnets are looking very nice around San Antonio right now. We've had over 5 inches of rain in the past 10 days so a lot of stuff is coming up green!!
