It is "Springtime in Texas": the dogwoods, wisteria, azaleas are already in bloom. Soon the Indian Paintbrush and the Bluebonnet blooms will be in profusion.

Last year was not a good year for the wildflowers around Fredericksburg, but things were much better around Brenham, Texas (nearer Houston). Every year is different, but it's worth doing a bit of driving to find the best.
