Please post WHERE you live, or have traveled and what you are finding out there, post Ike.

Thanks.

No problems around the Omaha,NE area! We gave plenty so far and prices are coming down. Regular unleaded about $3.49, unleaded plus(ethanol added) $3.39, premium at $3.59 and diesel is going for $3.82 to $3.97. Life is good here in Nebraska!

We are near Kemah Texas and where they have power, they have gas and diesel. Haven't been all over the area yet, but no lines and gas available. Now lots of people are going to be able to come back on Wednesday, it might be a different story.

We are in Kemah RV Park with a generator giving us power.

Portland, Oregon area no shortages around here. Prices are dropping every day. 3.43 for regular and 3.95 for diesel. Safeway is even five to ten cents cheaper.

Hendersonville and Asheville, NC. All of this area is out of gas. Prices running from $3.99 up to $4.29+ when they have gas. Diesel is still available for the same prices. Local news showing where they are having to have police at stations to stop fights, and direct traffic. Here is the local news clip. The clip is titled Gas Fury 9-21. http://www.wlos.com/shared/newsroom/...vid_1371.shtml

I remember lines in 1974, waiting for hours to get gas. I don't remember any fights or police having to be around to keep the peace. Amazing how times change. So they need gas to get to work. And they probably stop at the gas station 30 minutes before they have to be at work to find out it will be a few hours before they get up to the pump. Poor planning if you ask me. Sounds like something my S-I-L would do because she doesn't have time at night to get gas.

It is unfortunate that certain areas of the country are running low, or out, on gas. I'd be looking for an explanation to see if it is a man-made ploy of some sort.

Anyhow, Austin, TX, has gas. Saw no lines, no shortages. Moving to San Antonio on Thursday.

Coleen, Glad to see you are safe in Kemah, even if you have to run the genertor.

Went out today to gas up Big Butt, one gas station, no customers, 2 gas stations, had customers, but NO lines, and at least one pump open at each.

Prices, this is Clinton, MI, one of the cheaper burgs of Lenawee: for gas, only, sorry, did not check the "D". One station had $3.89, one had $3.79 cash or $3.89 credit, another had $3.79.

No problems in Denver or along the front range north to Ft. Collins. Diesel is $4.05 to $4.39/gallon, with most places around $4.29.

Just got back from a trip from Denver to Dallas and back. No problems with supply at all, and diesel was $3.69 at one place, with $3.79-$3.89 being fairly common in the Dallas area. I saw $4.49 at one station, but it was in a very small town in the middle of nowhere.

We have a shortage of fuel in the Atlanta area. Both gasoline and diesel. 2 out of a dozen stations had gasoline at $4.00 or so and 1 of those dozen with diesel at $4.69!

No problems in central Oregon. Diesel is $3.93 at some stations (even the middle of nowhere), higher at others, but still below $4. Sorry, didn't notice gas $$.

We stopped at Flying J just north of Oklahoma City (Edmonds) yesterday and regular gas was 2.99. I almost took a picture. Sorry I don't remember what diesel was.

Maybe this will help.

http://www.flyingj.com/flyingjPortal...2FgetGasPrices

I looked at this link yesterday and found at least 10 stations were short on supply whereas today there are only four or five, all in Georgia.

Imp, diesel was 3.71 today at Edmonds OK. I use the above link to determine Flying J's prices then if I find something less I go for it. Sometimes Flying J is the lowest price in the area, sometimes not.
