New Tires and Shocks

I have a 2003 3280RL. I just replaced the tires with exactly what was on it. BF Goodrich Commercial TA LT235 85R16 E tires. Sure hope I bought the right tires. I noticed that I have 4 shocks on my rig and I want to replace them. I called C.W.. I don't like doing business with them because they are way over priced. They aren't Moryde or anything great. They are just plain old shocks. Any ideas where to get them. The old ones have markings on it as follows: TSA167 Made in China FE10. Any ideas where to find these?

You did good on the tires, we run the same ones on our 07-3400rl. Tireco (the distributor fr the factory junk tires) told me those are an upgrade over their tires.. As for shocks, go on the Monroe Website http://catalog.tenneco.com/monroe/shockSelector.do, I found a listing for Monroe Shock Selector

Monroe is as good as any to buy replacement shocks. You might want to consider looking at you shackles also.

Ah, another expense. I called Merlin Muffler & Brake would do the job of putting on the shocks for $564.00. They gave me a cost of $141 per shock. So I am ordering them from Napa for $42 per shock. And as I have read often - It sure helps to be handy with the tools if you are going to be a RV'er. Fortunately my dh is great with tools. I will mention the shackles - as long as he has it apart........ I still don't know why the top rod of the shocks are bent. I never got an answer from anyone with a 3280RL.

I did check my invoice from Moryde and their # is 555001 for the 5200# axle. Shocks cost $46 each, lower shock plates which are bent up at ends were 56.32 plus freight. Install was $220 which included removing belly pan and moving wiring. Just a little over $500 for welding bkts and install, not R&R of shocks.
