Would it be wrong for the government to step in and establish price controls for fuels? As was posted earlier, the oil companies are making record profits. These profits are at the expense of the public. If a oil company had a million barrels of oil in their storage facilities and the price went up $1.00 a barrel, is that not a million dollars of profit?
I think most business's do take price increases as the cost of their merchandise goes up. I do not think fuel, a commodity that all people use should be increased this way.
These companies should be taxed on this present obscene profit are change their accounting procedure.
