Adding 2nd air not using your vent

I have been searching the Moc for a previous thread last summer about putting in a second air but not using the existing vent. We do not want loose the vent but want the 2nd air. It is wired for the 2nd air. Any information is appreciated.

Bill, You may have to install the a/c where the vent is right now because if it is prewired its probably already beefed up in that area for the second a/c. Then add the vent someplace else. You can frame that area easier for the vent. Good luck

My second air replaced the vent over the bed. I am afraid it is an either or. The nice thing is you do not have to do any cutting in the roof.

Thanks for your input. So helpful. Definitely makes sense to put the air in vent as was suggested, and then put the vent next to it. We are in the investigation stage so will definitely let you know what we decide.
