HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY
We spent all day today in downtown Washington, DC visiting the World War II Memorial, Vietnam Memorial and watching the thousands of motorcycles participating in Rolling Thunder XXII. Everywhere you walked, eveywhere you looked, there were veterans of all shapes, sizes and ages. The most common characteristic was the grey hair. Everyone was respectful at the posting of the colors and the singing of our national anthem. More than a few shed tears. What a beautiful day it was! Our heartfelt thanks to all who have served, and supported those serving. Our country remains great and free because of you. God Bless America.

Yes, CanDo, thanks for the post! And Phil, we know that you would, thank you! That is the spirit that we find so lacking in much of our news any more. It is refreshing to hear now.

Fox News said that there were 500,000 motorcycles participating. That's astounding. While we were traveling north two days ago, we saw at least 400 bikes heading to DC in a caravan. Some people were standing on an overpass holding up a large American flag as the bikes went under. Sights like that make you proud to be an American.
