Baggage Door Hinge Resolved

Thanks to everyone for your help. I found that the hinge I needed (and installed) could be sourced from its manufacturer, Forest River. They make these hinges and sell to other manufacturers. Since - as is typical of RV manufacturers - baggage door (and propane closet doors) sizes are all over the map, these hinges are sold in lengths of nearly seven feet and must be cut to size. To remove the old hinge, you will need to drill-out the pop rivets which is the most time consuming part of the task. Also, to prevent the kind of damage I encountered on my two large and very heavy doors, installing gas struts (two to each door) will go a long way in preventing hinge damage. And, finally, for what it’s worth, if you notice the black paint being somehow scraped off of one side or the other of your hinges, it is probably early stage hinge deformation.

Source for Basement Compartment Hinge

Folks,
I to had searched everywhere for this hinge. I found it at this site:

Once fill in your RV information and it’s under the Sub-category “Metal”. You might have to scroll down on the list to find “Metal”

The hinge will show up on the 3rd page or so, but it shows the top and bottom hinge for $31.00

Check it out..

Trexwood rv supply sells them. It's under metal. You have a outer trim hinge and a inner trim hinge. This should help alot of people.

Thank you for posting the links to the trekwood parts. The trekwood site and people don't know what the dimensions of hinges. So, I'm not 100% sure if this is going to work for me or not. Does anyone know how wide these hinges are? I'm wondering how wide the flat portion is.
