We drove from St. Louis to Memphis and back earlier this month. One fairly long construction zone from Blytheville, AR to AR/MO state line but no other major work at that time. I-55 is getting really old and rough between junction with US-63 and where the work zone starts in Blytheville so be prepared for that (we tried dropping speed down to around 50, driving in the left lane when traffic was light, etc. and didn't find any relief from the roughness. If you are headed that way, have a great trip.

Thanks, we will watch for the low clearance.
We are in West Memphis, Arkansas - so will hit North I-55 before crossing the Mississippi River. We have gone this way the last two septembers, but the road from Little Rock east to Memphis was really rough. And then I saw a map on line showing heavy construction in I-55. That is my concern to question recent travels. I believe we will go I-55 to I-57 then cut across toward Indiana.
Thanks Again

I 55 is always under construction someplace. If you are in West Memphis you won't have to worry about overhead clearance. Have a safe trip
