Headed for Hatteras

2 weeks in NC. My family and I really enjoy the OBX experience. Looking forward to some R&R from work and expectations. Look out KOA here we come...

We are headed for Hatteras for Labor Day, Camp Hatteras. A favorite destination for us. A laid back place.

Both the KOA and Camp Hatteras are nice, but Ocean Waves just down the road is about half the price. And it's all the same Ocean once you go over the dune.

Called about two weeks ago as our group was thinking of going to the KOA next year. I haven't been there in about 10 years, so when they told me they didn't have next years rates but this years daily rate is around $90 I was pretty surprised. They must have made plenty of improvements since I was there last.

Been to the Outer Banks many times and stayed in Camp Hatteras twice. We like the campground but it's 70 miles from nowhere. We love Emerald Isle and would stongly
suggest you try it next time you go to the beach in N.C. They have campground on the beach there too. But no matter where you go, there s nothing like a beautiful
beach vacation. Enjoy and have fun.
