Effie Hwy...Marksville LA

Has anyone travelled North on the Effie Hwy from Marksville LV to Route 28 in LA?? I beleive its #28..I would like to take this route from the Paragon Casino and then go across to Natchez MS..via google it looks good but I cannot find much info on it regarding RV use...thx

Been a few years, but we had a place in our home town of Jena, LA. Used to cut across there to the casino. Not a lot of shoulder on LA 115, but 28 is a good highway. You'll see some LA swampland there. Then take US 84 to Natchez. I wouldn't hesitate to go thru there with the fiver.

Thanks Slickwillie... I went on the GoodSam site and plugged the info in..for once it came back promptly and with info I could use..even the mapping worked right..they have improved the site immensely...we have travelled from Alexanria to Natchez several times..I wanted to go to that marksville casino just to see it and to get some back road views of the state... thx..

We have made that route from Alexandria, LA to Natchez several times. Never had a moment's concern. In fact, we are planning a trip in May that will follow that exact route (on the way to Florida).
