Lighting improvements; super-slide

So, I was sitting on the reclining Love-seat, TV grinding away, when I wanted to read something but the light was off. I had to get the cat off my lap, un-recline and go turn on the light. I read the Playboy...or looked at the picture.... of the fast car, then had to get up and turn off the light so we could see the TV. I say's to myself: "Hershel, got's to be a better way".
Here is what I did:

No more getting up, it has a pre-set level of lighting option; dimmed. I liked that so much, I have one at the 'Stick house' by my TV chair. The cat is pleased as well.

Sweet set up. One of my mods is doing the same thing with the existing ceiling fan/light.

Ours is voice activated - as in "Honey, would you turn off/on the light?"

Tom, I would venture to guess that your remote is more costly than Jim's and probably works intermittently!!!!!!!

Ozz,
Is your remote sensor a variable type that would allow the light to be adjusted from the remote, or is it as you said a dimmed light, either on or off? Great photos by the way and ideas that are truly useful. Thanks.

Steve, Yes it has a good range of dimming the lighting. You can get them from Lowes
