Need a Free fireplace remote?

Did you all know that if you call Dimplex? 1-800-668-6663.... They will send you a free remote for your fireplace. Have your model number and maybe serial number ready. Tell them you didn't get one with your fireplace. We have done this with two 5th wheels.

You will have to pull the fireplace out and plug this little box into the wall and plug the fireplace into that. Unless you can get to the fireplace plug without doing that. It is worth the trouble for us. We don't have to put our glasses on to see the switch to turn it on.

Dusty, does that run the thermostat, too? Or just an on/off switch?

It turns it off and on. Works well for us. We don't have to crawl over there and hunt for our glasses to turn it on manually.

That is great information, I have a question on the Dimplex. We have the 3485SA Tana and the fireplace is below the entertainment center. I've pull out the 27" HD tv. We use that area for the Brother printer, In about 12 mins with the fireplace on the boards is almost to hot to hold your hand on for more that two to three seconds,do you have this problem. I'm thinking of covering the bottom of the boards with fireplace board. Any other suggestion welcome, thanks Randye
