tell you what guys... I have the EMS PT-50C surge protector, the auto former, V-Tailgate, bedsaver, Rear view Camera, Doran tire pressure monitor and Extended Warranty.I consider all of them all must have safety devices that protect us and the camper from harm.We have about 2800.00 invested in all that stuff.Think about what a near fully loaded 06 3400 cost and what percentage 3K is of that cost.We think it was $ well spent..

The first one I bought off Ebay failed so The seller refunded my money so earlier this week I bought a EMS PT-50-B the fellow used once. I will feel alot safer now as we where in a park a couple of years ago that had several brown outs. Ran every thing on Propane.

Orv talked us into getting our surge protector. Thank you Orv!

Ours from Camping World and protects from brown outs. We almost lost some of our electronics 2 years ago from brown outs.
It is hot wired into the trailer. In the Monty and this one. I think it cost around $400 or less.
We also have the bedsaver, doran tire pressure and with the surge protector we feel better protected.

Dave, I paid $399.00 for my unit(EMS-50PTC), Portable, plus $42.00 S & H to Anchorage. I bought mine through VIP enterprises 734-516-2056. I have heard of a lower price but don't remember where. I will say that VIP stepped up to the plate when my unit failed and they shipped to wrong address, then shipped a NEW unit to me at correct address.

Of course, your decision.......
