Dave, how did you hold the water from the wash machine? In a separate tank or did you let it backfeed into your main tanks?

Brad, I had both grays empty (76 gals of reserve). I had only about 40 gal of fresh water, so I knew I would run out of water before I ran out of holding tanks.

Oops! Sorry. Forgot about that twist lock adapter that my 30 amp plugs into... Bill, my Kipor 3000ti came with that little adapter, though. You had to go out and buy one? I also have a large grill cover that works great as a gen cover.
Bingo, another drawback (major in my book and this looked GREAT right up to this point...) is the fuel cap/run time. You need more than 4.5 hrs at full load and more than 8 at low/no load. They definitely need to upgrade to more than a 1.9 gal gas tank. I would have been a problem for me in some of the situations that I had to use my gen in...
Also, agree WHOLE HEARTEDLY with Bill about making sure there is a "guinea pig" first. Maybe two...... This gen looks like a great idea - size, weight, noise level, sine wave, etc. Serious flaws - needs to upgrade to electric start/bigger gas tank. This mfr has a great start and a great price.
