And Then a Light Bulb Went On
This is just a personal kind of addition to my main storage area under the bedroom. I'm always "wrenching" on my own or someone elses truck, fiver, or boat at the campgrounds, so I have always had a toolbox in the storage compartment. The problem has been easy access to the toolbox and still have the rest of the storage space organized. A previous post about the full extension cargo bay shelves you can buy got me thinking. I don't really have a use for the 48" wide ones that take up 90% of the storage bay, but I could make just what I need with a couple of 100# full extension shelf glides from Lowes. I got out my saw and router, obtained some plywood from the scrap bins at nearby home construction, and came up with a toolbox mount that can be pulled out the side of the storage bay. I routed the top shelf grooves down a bit so I could have some storage area that could hold small odds and ends up top without rolling off. I used a ball loc pin that goes thru the frame into the shelf as a travel lock. The frame is lagged to the storage bay floor. So far I'm happy with an afternoon's design and fabrication.

I like that!! It would lessen my chore of getting to the tool box. Thanks for sharing.

That's really nicely done. I have "B.E." - that's basement envy. The 3750 has a tiny basement and about all it would hold is your toolbox! I like the paper towel rack too.
