Phone outlet 2955
We just picked up our 2005 Montana 2955 and so far we're very pleased. It is a step above our old one in quality and looks. One problem we're having is a phone hookup! The only one we can find is the "computer data port" in the "computer station"...Is this the only one...? If so, I guess I've got a phone wiring task in my near future. We enjoy this forum and read it many times before buying the Monty.

Snowbirds,
Welcome to the forum,
Cannot help specifically with 2005 2955, but our 2004 3295 only has one phone jack, aka computer data port.
Good luck with the new unit!! And enjoy!!

We solved this problem with a vtech dual phone. Only one needs to be connected to phone outlet and the other can be anywhere as long as it has electricty. They are 2.4 ghz - Digital. They work great. We have a set in our stick home also. Bought them at Wal-Mart and they even come in different colors. If I remember right - around $60. They are portable and come with an optional belt hook. They are also speaker phones and have a lot of memory for phone book that does name and #, much like cell phones.

I have A 2002 2955 it came with a phone and jack to the right of the door when you enter and a jack in the desk for data.If I remember the next model year they no longer installed the jack and phone rather a holder for a cell phone.

Our '03 3295RK has two. One is at the computer desk. The other is next to the curio cabinet. Vicki uses that one for her laptop. Our '01 2880RL (predecessor to the 2980RL and the same general floorplan) had just the one up near the door but didn't have a computer desk anyhow.
