Removing the sound bar

Does anyone have any idea how the sound bar is attached to the base of the cabinet? We have tried everything to get it out and it just won't budge. I can't believe that there isn't a way to remove it. The sound bar has no manufactures name but it came with the unit.
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Susan

Well, we finally voted on breaking the shelf. First we rocked the unit back and forth until we felt it partially free itself. Finally it pulled loose tearing a bit of the shelf with it. As it turns out, it is screwed onto the base from underneath (I'm guessing if we had removed the fireplace we would have found that out). They actually just screwed the darn thing in without having a corresponding hole. How stupid was that. If you want to remove it without damage, I think you will have to remove the fireplace first. Our new sound bar will easily cover the damage so we are not too worried about it.
Glad to see we aren't the only one having the problem though.

Thanks for responding, Susan

That's interesting since on our 2017 it's just in there with velcro.

Two someones must have gotten smart when they installed the thing. All is well here and no one will ever be able to tell or see the damage we did removing the old one.

I was going to say pull the fireplace. On our 3750fl the subwoofer on our 5.1 system is behind the fireplace. It’s also pretty easy to add wires etc behind the fireplace if you need hdmi or something else run.

I have removed mine you just pull straight up and then pull forward. There are two screws in wall behind. On back of sound bar is a hole and a slot that goes up and down.

Not on ours. It was screwed in from underneath and the fireplace has to be pulled out to get to the screws. They even drilled new holes in the underside of the sound bar to screw it in.
