Cargo bay door

Well, I gone and done it. On the third moce, backing into a site at Cheetam Annex near Williamsburg, I torn a 7 inch hole in the Passenger side main cargo bay door. At least it wasn't somewhere else cause I see the cargo door can be replace even by a dummy like me. But, does anyone have a place to get a new door cheap or maybe how to repair the old one. I thought of taking it to a body chop to replace with a sheet od aluminum and pained to match, or even just covering with a fancy decal or picture of my grandbabies. But then i would have to take it off if I ever sell the Monty.

There are a few RV salvage places around and also some RV surplus stores. I don't have the urls to give you so you might do a google search on 'rv salvage' and 'rv surplus'. Also, you might check with a Montana dealer to see just how much these things cost. I have no idea but it would give you a point of reference when talking with the salvage and surplus stores.

Another RED Green fan. Duct tape is fine for now. But MAMA doesn't like the look and when MAMA ain't happy, ain't nobody happy, especially PAPA.

I did a similar thing to a motor home I once owned. I propped the door up level, tapped the inside surface and filled the hole almost full with a mixture of resin and microballoons. Then, I brused in a final layer of pure resin. I sanded it, got a paint code from the manufacturer and painted the whole door. It was easy to mask because there is a metal rim around the door.

Later on, I learned about vacuum bagging. If you get serious about doing this yourself, drop me a line by e-mail and I'll walk you through that procedure. It makes for an almost perfect job without sanding.
