Levelup touch pad no display
I went out the other day and noticed that I forgot to plug the camper into AC, it had been unplugged for 5 days. Checked the idiot gauge inside and it said the battery was 2/3 full.
So I thought I would check the voltage at the level up display panel. Turned on the panel, the display lite up, but no words at all. Little green light in the middle of the buttons came on, buttons all work, but no display words.
I plugged it into AC and used my volt meter to see that the battery had 14.18 volts going to it.
Let it sit for 36 hours, and still no words on the display.
Any suggestions???

okierver,
Did you remove the battery leads first, or leave them on and unplug the panel?

Just pull the plug on the panel and wait a minute and plug it back in. That should reset it. Since we had level-up installed at the factory and I asked about it they put a red plug on the line for me.

To show my ignorance, exactly what plug/location are you referring to? Sooner or later I will likely be in a reset situation. I am still learning about the LCI leveling system, and have decided I like it and wish I had had it starting with my 2002.

On ours they installed it on the wall in the front compartment right behind the display.

I pulled the touch panel out and removed the wire harness from it. I noticed that there is a ribbon cable connected to the circuit board and this ribbon cable was not seated correctly, so I fixed that.
Then plugged the harness back into the touch panel, and it started beeping, and beeping, and beeping. After 5 minutes of beeping, I removed the ground cable from the battery.
All the above was done with the battery connected, except after the beeping started.
Any suggestions???

Call Lippert Customer service. Once you get them they usually are very helpful.

After leaving the battery disconnected for about 30 minutes, I reconn3cted and no more beeping.
When I turn the display on, I can barely see the words now.
Guess its time to Lippert.

Just got off the phone with Lippert, a new keypad will be shipped out tomorrow.
He did say that the level up is warrantied for 1 year when installed on a new camper, but for 90 days when installed after market.
Although I did name drop too, MONTANA OWNERS CLUB!!!
But he is sending me a new pad for free.
THANK YOU LIPPERT!!!

Received the new touch pad today, the packing slip says it cost $12.80.
So $12.80 seems pretty cheap.....
