Jay,

Even if the battery has an issue, I would think the converter would still be working to keep it charged.

You have said the battery starts to discharge after a few hours. Does the battery have a load on it or is it disconnected?

If you can't get help from Renogy I see 3 other options, none free:

-Hire a professional to troubleshoot and repair
-Buy another battery, if you buy another 200 ah AGM battery you can hook them together or you will have a better argument with renogy if all works with the new battery
-Replace the converter, might even go with a hybrid inverter/charger that has several advantages over separate inverter and converter

Zack,
The rv is in a barn connected to shore 50amp shore power. The converter maintains a charge generally for about 24-30 hours, then stops and the battery begins to discharge. I check on it at least every other day now.
There is always a slight load, but nothing significant unless I'm in there with lights on doing something or I move a slide in or out.
I am considering buying a replacement converter that has smart technology so if I decide to switch to lithium battery, I am ready.
I would likely switch to lithium before adding another AGM battery. Those things are crazy heavy.
