Vroom installed

2022 HC 295RL: bedroom slide- after two different dealer complete rebuilds (Schwintek- Keystone paid warranty); we decided to replace with Vroom. We really like this floorplan and plan to keep quite a while and are really tired of expense and time taking 5er to dealers for repairs. Shout out to Patriots RV Services, Aubrey, TX for timely (1 1/2 days) install and looks like quality work. Currently in Galveston, TX for a month so won't be exercising slide much until next spring. If any issues, I'll report here. BTW, Vroom appears to much more user friendly= no synchronizing, OK to start and stop if needed, and much more substantial materials and construction. Also, factory in Tuscon and currently eight (I believe) satellite dealers around the country.

Congrats. I guess I got a good rebuild the second time. Mine has been working well. Hopefully it stays that way.

Patriot staff that installed the Vroom stated they had to "re"shim the box and the larger & stronger hardware and motors means no syncing and if needed slide ops can be stopped or started anytime while in the process of opening or closing. Not a big deal to me; but, it does add some confidence.

Vroom: last name (company name) of people that make a much stronger/reliable slide system to replace the (mostly) Schwintek slide on (mostly) larger slides. Apparently, Schwintek works fine on smaller slides and a few lucky souls with larger slides. My understanding is Vroom manufactures over a 100/month and Tucson (home) and eight satellite dealers around US are way behind on orders. Our slide was $5500 all in.

The next time I have an issue with one of my under designed schwinteck slides that is my plan as well! I hold my breath every time I operate our Livingroom slide! They look a lot more robust!

The second time we had Schwintek slide rebuilt we were stuck in Coeur d'Alene, ID so the round trip drive to go back and pick up 5er was 2000 miles. Decided, no more.

I tried looking for a website but I never found anything about slides, used cars, race car graphics, financial scams etc.

Anybody have a contact number for them?

Website
https://vroomslidesystems.com/vroom-slide-system/

They don’t list a phone number on the website. They want you to send them an email.

Our bedroom slide currently has issues opening / closing.
While DW pushes the switch,
I have to push the forward side out (from the inside) as the aft motor drives it out.
I have to push it in from the outside to get it in.
I'm pretty sure I know the problem is the right motor mounting screw has backed out and allowed the motor to pop up out of the retention bracket (H frame).
It did this before while we were at Affinity. I watched one of the techs as he removed the interior trim, wiper, seal and electrical cable going to the motor. There is a screw that goes in through a hole in the outside rubber wiper through the H frame and into a slit on the motor. This holds the motor down in place in the H frame.
Once I get the motor back where it belongs, I'm going to put a drop of Locktite on the screw threads before I put it back in.

I just googled Vroom RV slide. Thier motor is bolted vs a screw and has substantial rollers. But, for $5K, it should have lots of upgrades. We've only used our's twice: shop demo and when we set up in Galveston for a month. So no solid intel yet; other than actually comparing parts & pieces of each system side by side=big difference. But, hopefully you have a better factory built system that just needs tweeked.
Good luck.

I see all the new Montana's are back to cable slides now. My opinion is schwintec is neat but severely under designed for what they are doing.
