Starlink Mini speed issues

I am in Central Florida a very low populated area and my Starlink mini has begun to have issues.

I have spoken multiple times about the speed variation

One minute it is 85Mbps and working great, then I can't stream my YouTube
TV as it goes down to 3Mbps.

Starlink says my hardware is fine that as mobile users we are low priority and this can occur

Has anyone else had this problem??

I can confirm that mobile users are considered low priority unless you pay for the high priority.
Is this while driving?
I do wonder if the is the drawback of having a much smaller dish with a much lower power rating??

Just curious...If you leave things alone will the speed come back up on its own later on? That wide of a variation does sound like Starlink is deprioritizing your data due to congestion, but during times when the network is less busy, you should see your speeds return to normal.

The internet speed constantly changes. It could be great close to 100Mbps then a few minutes later 3Mbps. Then after a period of time which constantly changes it goes back to normal. I am not being throttled was the information Starlink provided.

Starlink says that several things could be affecting this including distance from the dish/router (especially with the mini) and obstructions. Have you tried moving the dish to get a clear(er) view of the sky with not trees or other obstructions?
Also, the mini's built in router is Wifi5 and has a fairly short range. Anything more than 20-25 feet could drastically reduce speed, especially if there are other signals interfering with the Wifi channel and band you're using.

If you can get a good, consistent signal very close to the dish, you might try disabling the built in router and using your own. That way you can put the router closer to the devices using it. Of course, it would require an ethernet cable which Starlink sells on their site.

I appreciate all the feedback

The Starlink mini is mounted on the ladder at the rear.

When I use my laptop or TV I am literally less than 8 ft from the antenna.

Starlink kept pushing their Higher tier plan. I use too much data for that to be possible.

I am learning to live with the issues. Just wanted to make others aware before they spend thinking this is going to work 100% of the time.

The RV park I am in is less than 5 years old. They took down EVERY tree and planted smaller palm trees.

So basically I have a completely clear view of the sky and the antenna is set up perfectly.

This was double checked by Starlink

Anyone else have SL in your neighborhood? I would ask them if they have the full size dishes and ask what they see. I wonder if the low power mini struggles to get the the data because of the lower power. I grew up on a farm with sheep so I imagine it might be like the biggest/strongest get the hay first and the smaller lambs get the leftovers.
I also could see where future firmware updates could fix this if it is a widespread or a new product issue.
