Are we the only ones attending???

I finally got to talk to a live person today and got our reservations made for the rally. I was a little amazed that according to Phyllis, there had only been one other reservation made for the rally. Is this a two rig rally???? This will be our first rally. We will be in site 84 so I can watch all of the MOCers out the back window while you are playing on the playground!!!!!!!!!

Bingo,

Have no fear, many people will be coming to the rally. If we come, this will be our 4th time at the Northeast Rally. It seems to grow every year. Most people don't sign up this early. Our organizers are really on the ball with their plans, and my guess is, it will be a well-attended rally. You may find that many people won't sign up until early spring or even later.

For your information, if you insist on having or prefer a 50 amp site, better reserve soon, the campground only has five or six 50 amp sites. We elected to go with a 30 amp so we can have a better view of all the MOCers on the swings at the playground!!!! LOL. Looking forward to making a bunch of new acquaintances.

Correct the only available 50 amp sites are 64 to 69 and site 2.

I downloaded a program called virtual earth from the link below. You can view satellite photos of the campground and even your campsite. It will allow you to view it at all angles. A truly awesome web site!

Bingo, Patti and I will be there, we just have to wait to make reservations till we can figure out her dates for shots. Patti is taking a new allergy shot every two weeks and we need the md to tell us what date in May will be her second show that month.
We actually plan on spending around two weeks in the area so we can enjoy the rally and still see more of the area.
Before the rally, we plan on staying at Artillery Ridge cg since they are a passport park, then move to the rally park.
The neat part is Gettysburg is only a safe days drive for us, so we can make it on a minutes notice!

I told them we wanted to be with the Montana rally group. They said I was the first one to make reservations and they also said this is the area where they were going to place us. It looks like they are using both sides of the road for the rally because some reservations are on the other side from us. I don't know how many sites they are holding.

Thanks Bill..we will call the C.G Monday and see what is going on. We were sort of waiting for instructions from the organizers. If they are holding a block of sites till a certain date that will be good..It is sort of early to make reservations now..you never know what may come up.

Is this the C.G http://www.gettysburgcampground.com/

We don't want to be a pest but we are planning our summer adventure trip to the N.E States and this is on the way but reservations on a trip lasting nearly 2 months need to be made well in advance or we will be staying in Wally mart parking lots. We also want to stay in the Gettsburg area for a few days and wqe need to plan that...

Rich,
You think like we do, which is why I couldn't wait to make the reservations. When I talked to Phyllis (I think??) at the campground she told me that all of the full-hook-up sites around the playground area were being used and held for the rally. The map can be viewed at http://www.gettysburgcampground.com/sitemap.htm and the sites are the double sites on the left side of the playground, the single sites on the right side (up to about 86 - the higher ones on that side are seasonals and all of the alternating facing pull-through sites on the right side. H. John correctly identified the 50 amp sites on a previous post. If I have jumped the gun on the reservations, I apologize, but it is not in my nature to wait until a couple of months beforehand to plan anything. We like to pay for most everything well in advance which sort of forced our hand.

Bingo...Thanks for the information that really helps. We will just go ahead and make some reservations and hope for the best. We are also making reservations at Artillery ridge C.G( a PA C.G) for the week before the rally to take in the area.We have a full summer of travel and need to get organized.Right now we can't even decide on when to leave Florida.

Our apologizes to Rick & Jeana but we had to make reservations now as we are planning our 2 month summer adventure and we do want to attend the rally. We have to make reservation in the N.E States and work backward. We spoke to Phylis at the Gettysburg Campground, very nice lady. We did reserve site #65 a 50amp pull through. There are only 3 50 amp site left but plenty of others for the MOC. They do require a two day deposit and she did not know what club rate had been negotiated. We went ahead and put 2 days on the CC and will work it out later. Including us there are 7 reservations made for the MOC group thus far. It looks like a very nice C.G and ther is plenty of room..We have been to two fall rallies and are looking forward to this one.
