Flooring question

Bernie and I are wondering if anyone of y'all with the laundry chute has removed the carpet and, if so, was there linoleum under the carpet on top of the laundry chute cover AND did it match the rest of the floor (i.e., same pattern line up)?

Welp, looks like y'all don't know either. Here's what's gonna happen. We are going to rip out the carpet in the whole rig. Can't stand it any longer. Going to put in "hardwood". I'll let y'all know what's under the carpet on the laundry chute when I rip it off! Deal?
Bernie says it might be a while before the carpet goes away, but I disagree!!!!!!!!

Dosen't the factory lay down the linoleum first,befor the walls and other things go in? The people who have done the factoey tour might have seen it. Or what if you wrote to Keystone customer service for their take on it? Just some thoughts..........

I know the linoleum goes at least part way across the floor. I am not certain if the entire floor is covered. That's my dilemma. I'll be happy when the carpet goes away!
