I am going to the dealer the 28th of April for a Pre-PDI..Then we have the entire day 10AM to 7Pm May 3rd scheduled for the Official PDI.And we have already prepped the service manager and the PDI manager. We have all reviewed the PDI and the infamous "MOC list" and we all understand what has to happen to get the check signed and the camper off the lot. We are very upbeat about this and are we are having fun.

Actually, Rich, the space shuttle should have LESS problems (I hope they've got them worked out by now) than an rv coming out of the factory. After all, this is going to be your 2nd, then 1st, home.

I'm sure that working with Bill will make this a very good experience.

Is the latest and greatest "infamous MOC [PDI] list" posted somewhere?

Van man..no it is not..It is MY infamous list compiled from MOC members post and made up mostly of "things" they found wrong on their PDI's. I will send you out the latest copy if you wish.

Rich, thanks but no thanks - we're not in the market - maybe after retirement in a few years. By then things will be different, anyway.

I think we should have planned a get together at Rich's dealership. Dave was right, we needed to sell tickets to watch and learn as his new 3400RL arrived.

My biggest question is....did he get the ........."Blue Hose"..... or the shower head. HMMMMM.

By the way, add this to your PDI. I found out Saturday that my flashlight fastened to the cabinet did not work.

I have called the dealer - looks like it will have to be replaced. Not repairable. I'm not sure I can go camping till I get it fixed.

Now that's funny, Phill!

Rich, I will be curious to see the differences between yours and ours. Cheryl and I are taking the factory tour probably the third week in May (Tuesdays, right?). Should be interesting the way they are changing things.

The first thing I will look for is the......Blue Hose....However our dealer said we would get the hose and Shower head no matter what. Phill..There is no way you can leave the driveway with a inoperable flashlight,,that is a show stopper.

I know that is a bummer. I can deal with a wheel coming off - no big thing just put it back on, or water shooting out of a hose under the cabinet - just grab some grey tape, or the toilet emptying in the grey tank, just empty over bridge in Chicago, but man an inoperable flashlight - what is a person to do?

I took delivery of a new Montana 3500RL on April 1st (2006) and to my surprise there is not one thing wrong with this unit...not at all. I'm a VERY happy camper to say the least. I'm living in mine and everything works, so richfaa, you should have no problem with your unit. I have to admit I thought the antenna was broke but since it was new the first time I tried to crank it up it wouldn't move, but it needed some help and now it works just fine. Prior to taking delivery of it there were a few minor things I discovered wrong (outside hot shower valve stuck, screen door needed adjusted) they fixed it and all is good! I conducted a PDI for three days before accepting delivery and that helped a lot. I would strongly suggest doing your PDI way before the dealer does his to give you time to find things so they can adjust/fix, and then there is no stress at the last moment. I would suggest ordering some extra carpet, wall paper, fabric and some border also. I did....and you never know when you just might need it. I plan to take the carpet to a company to have the edges bind for throw rugs near the fridge and door....and you never know when you might need to replace the stairway carpeting. I did order a bunch and it has not arrived yet, but the cost is about $275 before dealer discount. Just something to think about. Also, if your dealer makes a trip to Goshen see if they could pick up some remanants for free...I heard they can do that, but I didn't want to wait. Good Luck! Allison

Yes, but did your flashlight work, SKOOBDOO???

That just moved to the top of my PDI list...

I like the carpet remnant idea...

Hey guys,

the flashlight can be repaired. After 3 years of use, ours would no longer hold a charge. I took out the existing 3 volt Ni-Cad battery (you have to unsolder it) and replaced it with a Ni-Cad I purchased at the local Radio Shack (this one was made for a wireless phone). I got one with a little larger capacity and soldered it in. The flashlight now burns longer on each charge. I also replaced the bulb with a standard 3 volt flashlight bulb after the old one burned out.

We had one of those flashlights in our TT and we used it exactly zero times although ir worked perfectly for all those years.Good Information Allison. We are going to do a Pre PDI this Friday.I don't know what the dealer does on his own but we will do the official JoinT PDI may 3rd.So we are scheduling 16 hours for the PDI's . the last few reports on PDI's have been very encouraging.
